You can travel directly to St. Andrews by car or bus. There is a train station at Leuchars, only 4 miles away, from there St. Andrews can be reached by tax cab or bus.

If traveling by car St. Andrews is usually approached via the A915, A917 or A91 -  the latter being the main route of choice for most visitors.

The city of Dundee, the closest city (10 miles away), is a short journey across the Tay road bridge. Dundee has a small airport that operates daily national flights from a small number of other UK airports, if flying is your preferred choice of transport. From Dundee Airport you can hire a car, taxi cab or take one of the regular bus services from Dundee to St. Andrews.
